Bedycasa is a community platform used by local community residents to provide occasional alternative accommodation to students, holiday-goers or travelling businesspeople.
Bedycasa is a community platform connecting people wishing to offer housing on a long- or short-term basis with travellers looking for alternative housing, during their studies, holiday or business travel.
The range of offers is extremely wide, spanning from a host families in Peru to the quaintness of a B&B in Provence, to all sorts of rooms and unusual housing offers throughout the world.
How It All Started
As we travelled France and the world extensively, as students, professionals or holiday-goers, we often found outselves staying with locals or in unusual places. This kind of housing can be found in every country, we realised, and is winning over more and more travellers. At the time, we would have loved to have access to a platform listing all of these alternative housing options in a single place. It would have saved us many calls to far-flung associations or local/national sites. Seeing the extent of the demand, we decided to create that platform ourselves, giving it a community spirit.
Concept
The idea is thus, initially, to bring together all of these alternative housing options on a single site, available in at least three languages (French, English and Spanish).
Unlike our counterparts, we have decided to take the Ethical and Social path, emphasising greater interaction between cultures and offering families the opportunity to rent out their unused rooms in order to improve their day-to-day lifestyle.
